Microsoft is making it easier to switch between document libraries on SharePoint and OneDrive

Microsoft is adding a drop-down menu that lets you easily switch between multiple document libraries associated with a team or site. Now when you select a group or website in OneDrive, you’ll be taken to the default document library instead of a list of document libraries to choose from.

  • When a user selects a group or site in OneDrive, they are taken directly to the default document library instead of choosing from a list of document libraries. They can select a different document library using the library drop-down menu.
  • When users select a document library in SharePoint, they will be able to select another document library using the drop-down library next to the breadcrumb.

If possible, users can still click on the site name in the link to see the full list of document libraries.

Microsoft is also planning future work to bring this drop-in library to OneDrive, Office, and Teams mobile apps, but there’s currently no schedule for sharing.

This feature will roll out to Targeted Releases from early January to mid-January, and will reach Standard Release users mid-January to early-February.
