Mets trade Billy McKinney to Dodgers for Carlos Rincon

Rincon was assigned to Double-A Binghamton. McKinney was appointed last week when J.D. Davis’ returned from IL.

Rincon, 23, knocked out .263/.343/.470 with 12 home runs and 48 RBIs for the Dodgers’ Double-A branch in Tulsa this season.

In another organizationally intensive move, the Mets announced right-handed pitcher Roel Ramirez was not exempt from the Cardinals and assigned him to Syracuse. Ramirez has appeared in one game for the Cardinals the past two seasons.
