Memphis will honor Young Dolph with a street named after him

The City of Memphis has announced plans to rename an existing street to honor Dolph’s name. The name announcement ceremony is scheduled for December 15 and will take place at Dunn Avenue and Aviation Avenue in the Memphis Depot Industrial Park.

City Council member JB Smiley first proposed the idea of ​​renaming the street after convention with Dolph’s family. He hopes the street will inspire others to follow the artist’s example of giving back to the community. Dolph is known for donating money to her high school and participating in many charity food donations. On the day of his death, he is expected to distribute free Thanksgiving turkeys to families in need. His family hoped that the street name would be reminiscent of someone who achieved success through hard work and persistence and then it paid off.
