Matt Gaetz backs Newt Gingrich’s threat to punish investigators on January 6
MAGA MP Matt Gaetz enthusiastically endorsed former House Speaker Newt Gingrich’s proposal to jail members of the House committee on January 6, saying Former Trump strategist Steve Bannon on Monday that “Newt is right” and that Republicans should not be “lame.”
Gingrich, the once powerful congressman of Capitol Hill has disappeared Bomber expert, spark Sunday outrage when he argued on Fox News that lawmakers on the House select committee investigating the January 6 uprising could be arrested if Republicans take control of Congress next year.
“I think when you have a Republican Congress, all of this falls apart,” the Fox News contributor said. “And the wolves will find out that they’re sheep now and they’re real people who, I think, face real danger of going to jail for the kinds of laws they break.”
