Mass shooting at Tops Friendly Markets in Buffalo, NY

Several people were shot dead after a gunman opened fire at Buffalo’s Tops Friendly Markets on Saturday.

Buffalo Police Department tweeted that the suspect is now in custody but that “several people have been shot”.

At least nine people were shot dead, BNO News reported that several people died.

“I heard at least 20 to 30 shots, if not more,” a witness told 7 News.

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz said he was briefed of an active multiple shooting at the store. He reports that the police are on site.

It comes after at least 20 people were shot dead in two separate incidents in downtown Milwaukee after the Bucks lost to the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the NBA-Eastern Conference semifinals. Mayor Cavalier Johnson has been forced to impose a curfew on under-21s in the city’s entertainment district.

Last night three people were shot dead near the arena where the Bucks were playing. Two hours later, another 17 people were shot dead in downtown Milwaukee. Ten people were taken into custody in the downtown shooting and nine firearms were seized, Milwaukee Police Captain Warren Allen said, according to CNN.
