Marvel’s Spider-Man modders add the suit from the Scrapped Lotus fan film

A new mod for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered focuses on Spidey’s appearance in the scrapped Lotus fan film and brings him to life.

Added once more to the seemingly never-ending amount of mods created by Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Community, modders have now added a suit from the scrapped fan-made film Spider-Man: Lotus. Marvel’s Spider-Man has been a haven for the modding community since its release on PC in August, and fan creativity is constantly being expressed with all sorts of new mods. However, this mod seems to be causing a particular stir, both for the quality work that’s being showcased and for the controversy that surrounded the fan-made film.

Mods are often sought out in PC versions to keep the games fresh as the credits roll. With Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Above all, the amount of new skins and ways to experience the game is astronomical. Of being able to play as Tobey Maguire’s “Pizza Time” outfit from the Spiderman 2 Movie to be able to swing around town as other Marvel icons like Daredevil and Wolverine, mods are keeping the game’s community excited for what this formerly PlaySation-exclusive title has in store. But while it’s one thing to play as an actor from an officially released film, creating a mod from a scrapped fan-made film is another. Nevertheless, the mod will surely delight most fans.

The new mod was created by user LDS3D and uploaded to Nexus Mods and brought to light in a Reddit post by user 2giga2dweebish. Supposedly the mod was created by the costume designer of the scrapped Spider-Man: Lotusaccording to the description of the mod. Spider-Man: Lotus I wanted to focus on the story of Peter Parker dealing with the death of Gwen Stacey after the events of No way home and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Fans have also made it possible to play as Spider-Gwen Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered too, so a new mod with the Spidey design from the fan film seemed almost inevitable.

The mod replaces the original “classic” suit from the game lotus Draft. While the mod is impressive, it seems to be sparking more discussion about the fan controversy Movie. Both director Gavin J. Konop and actor Warren Wayne were set to helm this indie fan project until allegations of past homophobia and racism by both men seemed to put the project on hold. Still, this new mod adds more life and passion to the well-received game. While it gives a more realistic look at Spidey, there are other mods that dial in to his comic book origins, like a mod that allows users to play as Ultimate Spider-Man from the game of the same name.

Mods seem endless Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. From serious mods like this one to hilarious ones like being able to play as Kermit the Frog, Spiderman seems to be the game that keeps giving. Hopefully more PlayStation exclusives will eventually make their way to PC.
