Marvel MMORPG Developed by DC Online Universe Team

If Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel’s Avengers, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and countless other Marvel games aren’t enough to satisfy that superhero itch, you’ll be glad to know that a new MMORPG is being developed by Dimensional Ink Games.

The most known Dimensional Squid game to develop DC Universe Infinite, a free-to-play MMO that was released in 2011 for PlayStation 3 and PC. In spite of DC-themed MMO is now 10 years old, it still regularly receives updates and new content and has even been re-released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

But that didn’t stop players from begging for a sequel or reboot. Well, fans might just be lucky. Unless you’re a die-hard DC fan and hate Marvel, you’re definitely out of luck.

EG7 is rumored to develop MMORPG AAA Marvel

EG7, the Swedish game holding company recently acquired Daybreak Game Company (developers of DC Universe Online), recently held a investor presentation for the third quarter of 2021.

In this presentation, a slide titled “Selling Hot Products for 2022 and Beyond” showcases some of the upcoming games the company has rolled out. Expected titles such as The Lord of the Rings Online and DC Universe Online are featured in the slide, as well as a mysterious MMORPG that was not announced in advance.

The section for the unannounced MMORPG has the following bullet points:

• Marvel IP-based Massively Multiplayer Online Game
• Developed by Dimensional Ink Studios in Austin, TX
• Led by Jack Emmert, who designed and runs City of Heroes, and currently leads DCUO

News discovered by Miller on Twitter, who referenced GeForce Now Leaked from a number of months ago revealed many unannounced headlines that are now becoming a reality.
