Maricia Bell arrested for anti-Asian attacks, left four injured in Queens over course of months

A woman was arrested on Thursday on charges against Asians, a hate attack that left four people injured over several months in Queens, police said.
Maricia Bell, 25, allegedly assaulted three women – 75, 63 and 34 – and a 23-year-old man in four separate incidents in the county that began May 23, according to police. .
During the first attack, Bell is said to have shouted “Why are you talking to me?” before punching the man in a Flushing parking lot on Kissena Avenue, police said.
Bell allegedly carried out a similar attack on a 34-year-old woman inside a Bodega Pomonok around 6:40 p.m. on June 16, according to police.
At around 8 p.m. on July 11, Bell allegedly stabbed the 63-year-old woman in the face while the victim was walking near 72nd Avenue near Parsons Avenue, according to police.
In the latest incident, Bell allegedly struck the 75-year-old woman with a hammer on 71st Avenue and Parsons Avenue around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, authorities said.
Police say Bell has been charged with a number of hate crimes, including assault, harassment and robbery.
Sources say she has had five previous arrests, including one on March 29, where she was charged with assault for hate crimes.
