MapleStory’s Neo: Light’s Wrath Update Brings a New Boss and Questline

Neo: Light’s Wrath Update for MapleStory is adding Season 2 to its summer content schedule. In the new update, expect to confront a new boss in addition to the new quest.

New boss named Seren (not related to Mass Effect Fallen specter, Saren), who emerges as a god, wields the power of the ancient gods. To fight Seren, you need to be level 265. You also need to complete the fifth job promotion along with “”[Cernium (After)] Defensive Tactical Missions.

Defeating Seren will give you a chance to earn Mitra’s Nodestone and Mitra’s Rage Symbol, part of the Pitched Boss Set. Mitra’s Nodestone unlocks the Solar Crest skill when used, and Mitra’s Rage Emblem gives +40 primary / secondary stats to your class and +5 Magic Attack / Attack.

Along with this Neo: Light’s Wrath update comes the Neo Castle Event, which brings in four new shops. According to the press release:

• Neo stone shop: Players can exchange Anchor Stones for a variety of items that can be used to enhance equipment and promote character growth
• Neo . Gem Store: Neo Gems are earned by playing one of the many new mini-games and can be used to purchase special cosmetic items
• Neo Core Store: Neo Cores can be obtained by defeating bosses and can be used to purchase a variety of enhancement items
• Neo Meso Store: The Meso Store is full of useful items and cosmetic items that can be purchased with Mesos

In addition to the Neo Castle Event, you can look forward to the Burning World and Tera Burning Plus events. These events are geared towards player upgrades, where you’ll be able to create and designate burning characters and gain 1+2 levels each time you level up.
