Mana . 30th Anniversary Concert Announced

While Final Fantasy possibly garnering the most attention for being one of Square Enix’s longest-running RPG series, Mana Franchising is not something to be abandoned. Currently celebrating the 30th anniversary of the original release, Mana Orchestra concerts have been announced.
Arguably, part of what made Mana The franchise that’s been so popular since its debut are its strong soundtracks. Mana Series composers include Yoko Shimomura, who has gone on to work on a number of notable games, including Heart Kingdom.
To celebrate 30th Anniversary Seiken Densetsu, the first entry in the series, a major concert is being held with two performances and a separate roster. On April 3, 2022, a full day and night of musical performances of the series of events will be held. The performance is taking place at the Bunkamura Orchard Hall in Tokyo, performed by the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. Fares start at 9,000 yen, or about US$79 based on currency conversion at the time of this writing.
A partial roster has been revealed for both performances:
Performance Day and Night
“Sunrise” – The ultimate fantasy adventure
“Angel’s Fear” – Mana’s Secret
“Meridian Child” – Mana Test
“Legend of Mana ~ Title Theme ~”
Exclusive performance day
“Where the Angels Fear Must Read” – Mana Test
“Rotate” – Mana Test
Exclusive performance night
“Nostalgic Song” – Legend of Mana
“City of Flashing Destruction” – Legend of Mana
In addition, series composers Kenji Ito, Hiroki Kikuta, and Yoko Shimomura will appear starring series creator Koji Ishii.
Unfortunately for fans outside of Japan, there hasn’t been any announcement regarding the live streaming of this concert. Square Enix has held many concerts formerly based on the game’s music, and in some cases, those performances were recorded and subsequently released as Blu-Rays or in digital format. Fans of Mana The franchise will have to wait and see at this point whether it gets the same treatment.
Fan Mana It can be fun to see Square Enix celebrate the franchise, and it’s clear that they’re willing to support it. Mana Test, the remake of Seiken Densetsu 3has seen large sales, perhaps in part due to Seiken Densetsu 3 didn’t see a release in the West until very recently. While the port is available on the Switch, fans who never got a chance to try the third main series entry may have moved on to the remake.
While Mana the series has been quiet from time to time, it’s pretty active right now. Fans are looking forward to hearing more about a new anime series and new brand Mana game is in operation. With Mana the remake gives the franchise a graphical overhaul, which is the right time for longtime fans as well as newcomers Mana series for the first time.
