Similar to New York City is Multnomah County, Ore. (Homeland of Portland), with a complete vaccination rate of 84%; Alameda County, California (home of Oakland) at 84 percent; and Santa Clara County, California (home of San Jose) at 81 percent. In each case, 1 in 1 million people died, compared with 3 per 1 million at the national level.
