MagicSDR makes it possible for you to interactively explore the RF spectrum using panadapter and waterfall imaging, demodulate and broadcast AM, SSB, CW, NFM, WFM, and collect frequencies. Built on the principles of a plug-in architecture, MagicSDR – the powerful and flexible next-generation SDR (software-defined radio) application. Typical applications are dx-ing, ham radio, radio astronomy, and spectrum analysis. Explore the spectrum everywhere!
MagicSDR processes signals transmitted over the local network from the rtl_tcp server running on the host computer.
The smartphone itself, on which MagicSDR is running, can act as a host computer.
To start playing with MagicSDR, you need to set up a server on the server so that the SDR peripherals (rtl-sdr dongle) will be connected, or connect the SDR peripheral directly to the smartphone via USB OTG cable. To test the application without an SDR peripheral, MagicSDR can emulate a virtual wireless device.
– RTLSDR dongle
– Any other radio that supports rtl_tcp server (AirSpy R2, AirSpy HF+, SDRplay RSP, LimeSDR-mini)
– Broadband spectrum view
– AM / SSB / CW / NFM / WFM . demodulator
– Frequency bookmarks
