Madewell Men’s Jeans Review

My wife Kristin basically lived in Madewell Jeans in the past decade. Can be black, dark blue, light high back, wide tube, on it. She wore Madewell maternity jeans while pregnant with both of our kids. When we lived in California, Madewell jeans, sandals, and t-shirts were her go-to. Now here living just outside of NYC, it’s Madewell jeans, boots and a sweater.

When I asked her why she liked jeans so much, she said, “It’s their fit, the way they feel and that’s the consistency. A small one is (actually) a small one in every look, and even as they add new cuts and new styling, I know how they will suit me. Beyond that, it’s brand sustainability.”

Indeed, Madewell is committed to sustainability — they’ll even buy back used jeans from you to recycle them. In addition, they also provide Madewell Forever sub-brand that sells “first-hand” clothing (used but in good condition) and it is on track to source 90% of its denim from Fair Trade certified sources within three next year.

All of that is great, but up until a year ago none of it really affected me directly, save the brand for easy holiday or birthday shopping. easier. Then, about a year ago, I learned that Madewell also recommended Men clothes—Jeans included. In fact, I was two years late to the game, truth be told, since Madewell’s first men’s line came out in late 2018. But, hey, better late than never.

Much better in fact, because like my wife has known for years, I have come to realize that the fit, feel, looks and simply quality of the Madewell Men’s Jeans So reliable in styles that this brand has become my number one place to buy jeans. And since I wear jeans an average of six out of seven days a week, so that says a lot.

Currently, I own four pairs of Madewell jeans, two in Relax Taper style — which in the company parlance means: “Easily pierces the hips and thighs with one taper touching the ankle” — and two in Thin type—It is: “Equipped over the hips and thighs with an elongated leg. Our update to a classic version. ”

In the fall and winter, tapered jeans with boots are great. In the summer, they’re great with sandals. As for the slim style, I can wear them in any season with almost any footwear and they look just right. When it comes to the rest of my clothes, that’s determined by the washing process. See, I have each style of jeans with both a bolder, more luxurious wash and a much lighter blue wash. My dark Madewells can be worn with button-down shirts, cardigans, even casual blazers while lighter wash jeans go well with Henley tops, t-shirts, hoodies.

Both styles fit my hips and legs well and stay in shape all day but don’t limit the range of motion. So far, even after many months of wear, all of my Madewell jeans have kept their great shape. This is why they remain an anchor in my filming day in and day out.

A person may not often start assembling their outfit with their pants, but when one has pants that they pretty much live on, pants lead the way. In this case, I’m the only one, and the pants are mine Madewell Jeans. For a casual day at home or going out but nothing special, it’s always one or another pair of pale laundry pants; for anything high end that doesn’t quite require actual dressing, it’s darker laundry pants. From there, I can worry about everything else I’ll wear.
