madden 23 will be released soon, and with it came the reveal of in-game player ratings. Fans love to discuss all bugs madden 23 has when players are rated and ranked at each position. Rookies are put in an interesting place where many of them get lower overalls simply because they haven’t played in the NFL before.
Though it’s not as often as that Driving me crazy community wants madden 23 will update rosters throughout the season, and many of the rookies from the 2022 NFL Draft likely won’t have the same overall rating they started the year with.
8th Kyle Hamilton (S, Baltimore Ravens)
Each year, the Baltimore Ravens seem to have a solid draft and acquire tons of talent, and that’s a big reason they have continued success. Talent fell again in the 2022 NFL Draft when the Ravens fielded a generation athlete in Notre Dame’s Kyle Hamilton at the safety position.
As a team they tend to run a creative defense that uses talent in interesting ways and Hamilton could be in contention for Defensive Rookie of the Year by the end of the season. Whether he pulls off that feat or not, it’s hard to imagine a world where he stays 76 overall madden 23.
7 Aidan Hutchinson (EDGE, Detroit Lions)
Aidan Hutchinson isn’t the type of athlete to thrill with pops or flexes, but he manages to get the job done and make a difference on the sidelines. Analysts think he’s a little stiff, but even his harshest critics understand he’ll at least be a strong defender in the NFL.
in the crazy 23, Hutchinson is currently ranked 77 overall and could quickly establish himself as the top defenseman on the Detroit Lions roster. His Speed and Agility stats both sit at 81, which seems like a place to rectify a tough decision if his in-game Speed is seen at the next level.
6 Sauce Gardner (CB, New York Jets)
Sauce Gardner was a real lockdown corner in college at the University of Cincinnati, and he’s hoping to do the same in the NFL. The New York Jets selected Gardner early in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft in hopes of fixing a perpetually troubled secondary.
As a rookie, Gardner has an amazing 78 overall madden 23 without playing a single snap in the NFL. It’s hard to imagine it going much higher, but it’s also hard to imagine him not making an immediate impact and increasing a unit’s play in the Jets’ defense which has cost them the potential to win many more games than They have .
5 Kayvon Thibodeaux (EDGE, New York Giants)
Program and coaching often play a large part in the success of collegiate athletes, labeled as raw or as projects. Oregon’s Kayvon Thibodeaux is a pass rusher with all the natural measure and intangibles that NFL teams seek on the fringes. He was drafted by the New York Giants, a team that now includes former Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Wink Martindale.
If someone could quickly increase Thibadeaux’s 75 rating madden 23would it be a coach with a track record of bringing out the best in young talented pass rushers.
4 Kyler Gordon (CB, Chicago Bears)
Washington University’s Kyler Gordon was considering one of the more athletic and fluid cornerbacks in the 2022 NFL Draft. His footwork and hip movement are at an elite level, and he attributes this to a background in dance, a hobby he grew up with. The Chicago Bears are a recovery team trying to give their youth as much experience as possible and instilling in them a hard work mentality.
Whether he’s playing in the slot or at the perimeter, Gordon will have plenty of opportunities to increase his power madden 23 Rating of 71.
3 Breece Hall (RB, New York Jets)
Well, Breece Hall, who has a 76 overall rating as a rookie returner, is nothing to scoff at, especially considering what kind of system he’ll be part of in New York as a jet. Most of his ratings are pretty fair considering he barely breaks into the league, but his stiff arm and twisting movements can see a bump.
Hall will likely have solid numbers on the field, but versatility is the be-all and end-all for running backs in the NFL’s modern era. It will come down to whether or not he can be a third-place factor in the passing game and develop into a reliable check-down target for sophomore quarterback Zach Wilson.
2 Arnold Ebiketie (EDGE, Atlanta Falcons)
Arnold Ebiketie isn’t the flashiest pass rusher to emerge from the 2022 NFL Draft, having been preceded by much bigger names. He fell into the lap of the Atlanta Falcons, a team in dire need of pass rushers of any kind.
Ebiketie might not end the year as the most prolific rookie pass rusher, but if he stays healthy, he’ll likely improve on his 72 overall. Both his block drop and notoriety are under 70, which are numbers that can easily be increased once he has enough proven films in the NFL.
1 Jaquan Brisker (S, Chicago Bears)
Considered by many draft analysts to be a steal of the 2022 NFL draft, Penn State safety Jaquan Brisker is set to make his mark on the NFL. As a member of the Chicago Bears, the rookie reportedly played consistently in training camp and made turnovers all over the field. Its current rating in madden 23 is 73 overall, and looking at the individual numbers, it’s safe to say that his rating of 67 awareness and 68 catches is likely to go up if he continues to blitz like he did at Chicago Bears training camp.
madden 23 will be released on August 15, 2022 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
