Ludwig surpasses 57,000 viewers in first YouTube live stream

After Ludwig revealed that he was leaving his old home on Twitch live stream on YouTube, a popular streamer held the first live stream on his new platform to great success.
His first stream surpassed 57,000 viewers as soon as it aired and maintained an average viewership of over 40,000 for the stream.
During this broadcast, Ludwig answered all of the questions viewers had for him about his decision to change the platform, as well as general questions about life. There’s a twist, though — for each question the streamer chooses not to answer, his viewer can control and fire a paintball gun at him.
The stream gained a lot of new members due to the platform change, but it also saw Ludwig’s YouTube channel gain about 20,000 new subscribers, according to Socialblade. Currently, Ludwig’s channel has 2.12 million subscribers.
Ludwig has become the latest Twitch star to turn to YouTube for streaming, with others like TimTheTatman and DrLupo signing on earlier this year. Live streamer details some of his reasons for the movement in a video yesterday.
By the time he left, Ludwig’s twitch channel had nearly 30,000 subscribers, making his channel in the top 15 in terms of subscribers, according to Twitchtracker.
Ludwig’s first stream has ended. The number of new members and subscribers will likely continue to grow in the coming days and weeks as he adjusts to the new platform.
