LPL returns on January 10 with a new look

The season waits for League of Legends E-sports fans are almost over. The 2022 season will begin in a week with the launch of various regional and national leagues.

The LPL will be one of the earliest regional leagues to kick off the upcoming season, taking place on January 10 at 3 a.m. CT, Riot Games revealed earlier today on Twitter.

Although the first date has been revealed, it is still unclear which teams the opening match will feature. Also, the full Spring Split schedule is yet to be announced.

After change its official logo in 2020, the tournament will show a “completely new look” in 2022, so fans can expect to see some changes such as an adjusted layout of the matches and another phase. . It also revealed a new tagline: “Insanity is our game.”

The 2022 LPL season will welcome new organizations such as Any Legends, formerly known as Rogue Warriors and Weibo Gaming, who take over Suning Gaming last month.

Fans got their first look at the new 2022 squad while watching the Demacia Cup tournament, which took place a week ago.

The final is a rematch of the 2020 Demacia Cup quarterfinals, with FunPlus Phoenix facing Top Esports. While FPX won the first two games, TES reverse sweep them and win the trophy second time in a row.

Most of the dominant teams from the 2021 LPL made it to the knockout stages, with the exception of JD Gaming, who had a disappointing performance ending the group stage with a 0-4 scoreline. But the real competition will begin with the 2022 LPL Spring Split on January 10.
