Lord of the Rings Update 31.1

The Lord of the Rings Online been busy this fall with the launch of their latest expansion, The fate of Gundabad. Today’s update improves a few issues with Gundabad’s release, as well as starting to allow players to discard old Legendary items that have been retained since the revamp earlier this year.

Released today on public servers, LotRO details one of the more meaningful changes in the release, namely the level of morale recovery of enemies in battle. The notes state that morale regeneration has been reduced by about 25% on enemies at levels 131-140, stating that their rates have been “increased due to the changes made to the birth rate basic player power in Gundabad’s Fate. “This will make killing enemies easier and more balanced, especially if you’re soloing content.

The release also shows tweaks to classes, including the new Brawler class, which has seen its Rush trait become cheaper to buy. Additionally, Guardian players will see some visual effects to indicate the cooldown for Broken Ranks, as well as a fix for performance issues when using the Fray the Edge Skill.

And for those looking forward to the start of Yule festivities tomorrow, Update 31.1 heralds the return of Yule-themed Hobbit giveaways. You can check them all Note on official The Lord of the Rings Online website for more information.

Gundabad’s Fate It’s only been out for about a month and we’re still working hard on it. In the meantime, we had a chance to sit down and talk to executive producer Rob Ciccolini about craft Gundabad and what might happen next for the folk of Durin.
