Location of the Elden Ring Jellyfish Shield: Does an enemy drop it?

The Jellyfish Shield is one of the more ridiculous pieces of gear in elden ring. It’s in a random location that’s easy to miss, and players may spend hours trying to drop it from enemies trying to farm it. Luckily, it’s not too difficult to find once players are familiar with its surroundings.

Where to find the Jellyfish Shield in Elden Ring?

To find the location of the Jellyfish Shield in Elden Ring, players must find the Foot of the Four Belfries Site of Grace in Liurnia. This area is located in the northwestern part of the region north of the Evergaol of the Cuckoo and southwest of Testu’s Rise. It should not be confused with the Four Belfries Site of Grace to the northeast.

Once players spawn at the base of the Four Belfries Site of Grace, they should head north along the road a short distance. Just off the road to the east, four soul jellyfish will circle a corpse. Players can find the Jellyfish Shield on this corpse.

One thing to note about the Jellyfish Shield is that its description is misleading:

“The head of a ghost jellyfish that often hovers over holy ground in the Lands Between, unchanged as a shield.

The translucent head is extremely light, but its flesh is supple and offers absolutely no protection from stabbing attacks.”

Although it says it offers no protection from piercing attacks, it actually blocks 100% of physical damage.

Unfortunately, the Jellyfish Shield cannot be farmed by enemies. We’ve only seen it in one place, although it’s possible there are multiple places where it can be obtained. However, since it has a unique ability, Contagious Rage, we’re pretty confident there’s only one per journey.
