Location Elden Ring Dung Eater Question: Where to find Seedbed Curses

Dung Eater is a dirty and spoiled NPC in Elden Ring where the quest line leads to one end. It was obnoxious to deal with him, and finding the Seedbed Curse needed to complete his story was a pain. To find his location in Sewer-Gaol and find out where he infiltrated, read on below.

Elden Ring Dung Eater Questline Location

I’m not sure exactly when Dung Eater spawns in the Elden Ring. It seems he appeared around the time I arrived at Altus Plateau. Players will find him in a newly opened room full of corpses that have just come out of the Twin Maiden Husks. He has the red glow of an NPC invader, but he will not fight the player when they first meet. Instead, he will talk to them about a curse and then kick the player.

Players will not be able to proceed with the Dung Eater quest until they find at least one Curse Seed. Players can get one early at Volcano Manor, but it’s hard to get. So instead, we recommend waiting until the player reaches the capital to get one as the quest cannot be completed before unlocking Halitree.

Seedbed Curse locations

There are six Seedbed curses in the Elden Ring, and the player needs five of them to complete Dung Eater’s quest:

• Leyndell: From the Grace Rampart Site East of the Capital, enter the city and cross the first outdoor area to enter a large building. Take the elevator down, then go into the next building and climb up to the second building. Then, go upstairs to find the Seedbed Curse on a corpse in the middle of the room.
• Leyndell: In the Fortified Manor (a clone of the Round Table Keeper), the player can find the Curse of the Seed on a corpse that the Hero occupies in the actual Round Table Holder.
• Volcano Manor: In the area directly in front of the gate leading to Rykard, there is a door that requires the Stonesword Key. The player will have to descend the room using the cage as steps. On the ground floor, there was a body bearing the Seed Curse.
• Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree: There is a Seedbed Curse on the balcony in front of the area with Avatar Putrid and ballistas. The player will have to find a path across the rooftops to reach it.
• Elphael, Brace of the Halitree: In the ground floor area with many Revenants, there is a room containing two Crystalline enemies. In here is a corpse with a Seedbed Curse.
• Leyndell (omitted): In the small pond northeast of the capital wall, the player can encounter Blackguard Big Boggart. To get this Seedbest Curse, the player will have to meet Blackguard before going to Volcano Manor and find him again at Leyndell. Dung Eater must also be at the cursed moment when he tells the player he is waiting for them in the outer moat. The player will need to talk to Blackguard a few times, and it will trigger his death, after which he will release the Seedbed Curse.

Where is Cong-Gaol?

After the player gives the Dung Eater the first Seedbed Curse, he will ask them to insert it into his physical body and deliver the Key of the Sewer-Gaol. Sewer-Gaol is found in the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds and can be found walking through a grating on the floor in the entrance area near Grace’s Underground Roadside.

To get there, appear at the Charming Underground Place, then exit the room. On the right is an open window. Head north to find a path on the left with a swarm of poisonous plants. Go up the ladder and put your hands on it. After reaching the top, the player can unlock the door to find Dung Eater.

Where is the moat that Dung Eater wants to fight?

Once the player gives him a Seed Curse, the Dung Eater will leave a message in his room during the Round Table meeting saying to meet him in the outer moat. If players want to complete the quest Blackguard Big Boggart, they should do it now. When the player is ready, simply go to the area marked on the map above to confront the Dung Eater.

After he’s frustrated, the player can talk to him again during the Roundtable. He’ll ask them to bring his body in the Gaol-Gaol adding the Seed Curse.

How does Questline Dung Eater end in Elden Ring?

Players need to feed Dung 5 Seedbed Curses to complete his mission. After absorbing the whole year, he will spawn the Mending of the Fell Curse and disappear. If the player reloads and visits where his body is, they will find his armor, the Omen Set.

Once the player has the Mending Rune of the Fell Curse, they can use it to obtain the Blessing of Despair ending.
