Senator Lindsey Graham (R- SC) stated on Twitter Wednesday he would “go to struggle for the rules Chick-fil-A stands for.”

Graham was reacting to a FoxNews.com piece about Notre Dame college students protesting the thought of Chick-fil-A coming to campus. College students and college signed an open letter saying campus eating shouldn’t even contemplate Chick-fil-A, highlighting partially its donations to anti-LGBTQ teams.

The South Carolina senator reacted with dismay on Twitter, saying, “I’ve at all times thought @NotreDame was one of many best universities in America, if not the world… What a harmful precedent to set.”

“I need everybody in South Carolina and throughout America to know I’ve Chick fil-A’s again,” Graham continued. “I hope we don’t must, however I’ll go to struggle for the rules Chick fil-A stands for.”
