Lewis Hamilton ‘cautious’ ahead of big showdown with Max Verstappen at Saudi GP »FirstSportz

Formula One fans have seen some spectacle this season, as the championship’s two main protagonists have given it everything they have so far. Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen are simply in a league of their own, and keep their fans glued to the screens. The duo are only 8 points apart, as the final two races will decide the fate of this blockbuster season.
Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen have been at the wheel several times this season, including twice leading to collisions. The Silverstone GP has proven to be a disaster for Verstappen, who already has DNF to his name following the clash with Hamilton. The seven-time world champion was cautious ahead of the remaining two races, and believes one must be very careful to avoid further collisions.
With the stakes so high and the margin of error almost negligible, neither driver can afford DNF at this point. “You just have to be very careful. More cautious than ever. You have to know what can happen,” Hamilton told Germany’s Auto Motor und Sport, as quoted by RacingNews365.
“You always have to be ready to do whatever you can to avoid a collision. Even if that means leaving the track. After all, you want to finish the race. If you are too stubborn and defend your position, you will fall. In Brazil, I make sure to avoid collisions. I’ve always been very decent in situations like this, I have to say. Of course, you don’t always get the job done perfectly,” he added.
Lewis Hamilton makes it clear about not feeling animosity towards championship opponents

Lewis Hamilton says he has no animosity towards Max Verstappen, and cherish the battle. He added that this is not the first time he has faced this type of opponent. However, the 36-year-old says he is in a better place to deal with his opponents, with the vast experience already in his hands.
“I cannot speak for him, of course. I also competed with drivers who didn’t properly represent their colors,“Hamilton commented.
“Of course, I don’t know if that’s the case here. I am 36 years old now and have been doing this job for too long. This is not the first time I have faced a driver who is good and bad in a number of ways. But now, I feel much better equipped to deal with the situation. I know he is a super fast driver. He’s definitely getting faster and faster, he’s getting more mature over time – there’s no doubt about it,“He added.
Lewis Hamilton says that when he first shared the limelight as a child, he made a number of mistakes here and there. Therefore, he will not be up against Max Verstappen, who he believes is still in that phase.
“When I look backyAt the age of 24 or 25 myself, I made mistakes at the time. I’ve had speed in the car, but I’ve had a lot of different experiences outside when I’ve suddenly been noticed. I didn’t do much right then. That’s why I won’t go against anyone else like that,” Hamilton added.
