Legendary Super Mario voice actor Charles Martinet has several guest appearances in the new film

Charles Martinet, the voice of Super Mario and Luigi in recent video games, has not one but multiple cameos in The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Some of the characters he plays might be easy to miss, while others get a little more screen time.
Originally discovered by Eurogamer, Martinet is not mentioned as a single character but is grouped together with the secondary voice actors in the film. This was confirmed by fans who took Picture of the credits where you can see Martinet’s name next to a character named Giuseppe and Mario’s father.
Spoiler alert for those who haven’t seen the film yet.
The first time you can hear Martinet is at the beginning of the film. After watching their commercial for their new plumbing business, Mario and Luigi wonder if the voices they made were too much. Shortly after, a random person (Giuseppe) interrupts them by saying, “Too Much? It’s a perfect! woo-hoo!”
Giuseppe then jumps much like the Mario we know from the video game series, while wearing clothing resembling Mario’s iconic red and blue outfit. Martinet is also heard throughout the film as Mario and Luigi’s father. Unlike Giuseppe, Papa Mario makes a few appearances throughout the film.

It’s a point that might not have worked if the movie wasn’t put together as well — but luckily for us, The Super Mario Bros. could end up being one of the best big-budget action movies of the year.”
