LEC releases ‘Wildfire’ music video featuring Against The Current

The LEC is gearing up for the start of the 2022 Spring Split this weekend by offering League of Legends fans another music video to enjoy.

The LEC group released a new single today called “Wildfire” to promote the start of the 2022 season. The song features two famous and talented actors from the Asian music scene. Europe, Andrew “Vedius” Day and Daniel Drakos, along with the band performed the 2017 world championship song Against The Current.

The brilliant song seems to be a tribute to the players and teams that will be participating in the Spring Split, as well as a song for League fans still “haven’t seen anything.”

With catchy and rhythmic lyrics, “Wildfire” has received a positive response from summoners and will “live in [the] top” of LEC fans in the entire tournament.

LEC is no stranger to creating songs that build on the plot and emotional side of competition. Since 2019, the federation has produced more than 10 songs in collaboration with people from the broadcast team and talent, from Vedius and Drakos to Eefje “Sjoks” Depoortere, Aaron “Medic” Chamberlain and Laure “Bulii.” Valee. For this year’s Spring Awards, the LEC teamed up with Against the Current, with lead singer, Chrissy Costanza, also featuring vocals on both “Phoenix” and “Legends Never Die.”

The LEC 2022 Spring Split begins Friday, January 14 at 11 a.m. CT. Those who are interested can watch the matches above LoL Esports website or LEC’s Twitch and YouTube channel.
