As many fans will know, Call of Duty development works slightly differently than other FPS titles. Each new game in the series is developed by Treyarch Studios, Infinity Ward or Sledgehammer Games, which means each developer has 3 years to develop. Call of Duty position.

But, with that being said, Call of Duty: Warzone took the series in a new direction, breathing new life into the franchise. Maybe Activision intends to focus more on Battlefield between regular annual releases.
