Leaked December PS Plus selection is huge for soul fans

Last week, PlayStation Plus game selection for December 2021 leaked, revealing a unique collection of trophies. God come down leads the pack for three games as a cross-generational title and a surprising addition to the PlayStation Plus line. Shell of death Slide in to fill indie quota for the month. And LEGO DC Supervillains Fits the bill as a family-friendly title with some overall appeal.
While there will be a lot of discussion around God come downIncluded because of the $70 price tag at launch, the game itself is worth mentioning as it has a number of positive qualities. It and Shell of death packs a unique punch for fans of the Soul-like genre looking for something to beat them to until Elden Ringreleased in February.
Is Godfall worth playing?
God come down combines elements of a character action game, a shooter and a soul title in a number of different respects. The player enters one in one Dozens of Valorplates (the iconic armor seen in the game’s commercials) and take on open-world quests or adventures with the goal of leveling up and collecting loot. Fight in God come down is faster paced than it is like Souls but it has an approach that is seen as where dodging and countering in time gives a huge advantage.
On top of that, many boss battles can be extremely difficult and precise, depending on the difficulty set by the player. It’s not on the level Dark souls, miss you, but sometimes it evokes the same feeling.
Should you play Mortal Shell?
Shell of death works more closely with a Soul title; Its developers have said that From Software’s series was a direct inspiration. Combat is intentional, enemy attacks are punitive, and boss fights require a lot of patience and pattern recognition. Even so, even with the addition of a new mode and some other content, Shell of death less than one soul title, not to mention many people may not even have heard of it.
Put Shell of death in PlayStation Plus gives subscribers a chance to try out the game and see if it’s as itchy as Dark souls. Personally, there are enough similarities to make it compelling, and the unique twists that the game puts into the sub-genre is enjoyable. But the one-note art style and untested combat may have displeased some players.
That’s the beauty of PlayStation Plus, and for Souls fans next month could be a great one, if the rumors are true. God come down evaluate not strong enough to justify a $70 purchase but it will likely come as a surprise to some with no barrier to entry. Combat is arguably its strongest point, and it evokes the title of Souls in several respects.
Mortal Shell, on the other hand, is a more direct Soul-like game and a quality experience. It just didn’t have the massive marketing push to get everyone’s attention it could. Now, PS Plus will give it a big boost and more can see if it itch for Dark Souls.
