League player uses Akshan to Heroic Swing and shoot while in Stasis to kill tower-diving enemy

Everything Akshan does, he does in style.

ONE League of Legends The player posted a video last night showing a strange interaction with new champion Akshan and Stopwatch. The Rogue Sentinel can use Heroic Strike (E) and fire while in Stasis, knocking down Irelia diving in the tower.

A healthy Irelia player recklessly dashed into Akshan’s tower, dashing past the soldiers to reach their target. However, after taking a large amount of damage, Akshan simultaneously casts Stopwatch and E on the tower. The Rogue Sentinel spun around the turret twice while invulnerable, dealing several devastating blows to Irelia.

Blade Dancer had no choice but to run away after capturing multiple tower shots. But Akshan quickly locked his target with Comeuppance, finishing off the confused top laner.

The interesting interplay between Stasis and Heroic Swing has some players debating whether it should be patched or not. Some fans think that other champions can move while in Stasis, like Zac when using Elastic Slingshot (E), while others can continue using the skill with Stopwatch, like Kennen or Morgana’s ultimatum. Others claim that he won’t be able to shoot and move while in Stasis, however, with one player arguing that “shooting your gun out of stasis makes less sense than a magical aura still exist.”

It’s unclear if Riot was aware of this interaction during Akshan’s development or if it was unintentional. But developers will probably patch it if it adversely affects competitive integrity.
