Lauren Marie Dooley, 22, taped and stabbed a naked Tinder date then ordered food, police say

In perhaps the worst blind date of all, a 21-year-old Colorado man is recovering from a failed Tinder date. The unnamed victim was found naked and bleeding in the parking lot of an apartment complex where his 22-year-old date, identified by police as Lauren Marie Dooley, allegedly performed oral sex on him before duct-taping and cutting his wrists and ankles him with a sharp knife.

Dooley, who was charged with second-degree kidnapping, second-degree assault and menace, allegedly tricked her date into stripping before performing fellatio on him and then taped his hands and feet together, to which he consented.

“[The victim] found it odd but agreed,” reads an affidavit released by Law & Crime.

Then she apparently pulled a knife and threatened him, according to the affidavit. She asked him to climb into her bed, which he said was non-consensual given the introduction of the gun. “However, when Lauren pulled out a kitchen knife and demanded that he come into her bedroom, [the victim] no longer consented to staying in the residence,” says the affidavit.

Dooley, who will be charged Thursday, is said to have climbed onto her victim and “cut her left shoulder with the knife.”

“Lauren then used both hands to apply direct pressure [the victim’s] about 20 seconds in the throat, making it difficult to breathe. Lauren stopped, but only to get a belt, which she then put around [the victim’s] Neck. She tightened the belt for another 20 seconds, making it difficult for her to breathe again. As she took it off, she checked it [the victim’s] Neck for a pulse,” the affidavit reads.

Apparently unhappy with the man bleeding on her bed, Dooley allegedly forced her date into the bathtub to clean him up. Police said they later found blood in the tub.

In the midst of it all, she then ordered food from DoorDash and threatened her date, “If you scream or say anything, I’ll kill you,” the court document said.

Then Dooley ordered her date back to her bed and ate the food. It’s unclear if she offered him any. She then fell asleep after placing the knife under the covers.

After Dooley fell asleep, the victim told police he could use the knife to cut the tape and get out of bed quietly. As he tried to find his keys, Dooley reportedly woke up and chased him into the parking lot, where witnesses said she threatened him after smearing his blood on her hands when he called 911. He was heard arguing with Dooley as he called for help, explaining that he called the emergency services “because you cut me” and because “you’re going to kill me”.

Police and ambulances were dispatched. “Upon our arrival, the residents of the apartment said there was a naked man in the parking lot who needed assistance,” the affidavit reads. “Officers found [the victim] who was naked and appeared to be bleeding from a laceration on his left arm. [He] also actively withdrew from the suspect. . . Dooley . . . who appeared to have blood smeared on her arms and hands. [The victim] exclaimed that Lauren tied him up and cut him.

According to police, the victim’s life was never in danger. Dooley faces up to 25 years in prison if found guilty of multiple offences.
