Yesterday, Microsoft released a new Insider build version 2.56 (21120102) for the Office Mobile app on iOS. This new update brings transcription support for more languages including Chinese, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, Hindi and more. This update also brings stable live edge during document scanning. Find the full change log below.
More languages are supported for voice notes
Take voice notes in Office Mobile is an incredibly handy feature that helps you capture your thoughts and ideas even when you’re on the go. These notes can also be automatically transcribed using the app, making this feature flexible and powerful. We’ve now added transcription support for more languages, including Chinese, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, Hindi, and more.
Improved live edge stabilization
The new stabilized direct edge feature helps you capture faster and cleaner images, improving your productivity. No more “direct edge dancing” for objects in the viewport! The more stable live edge is only visible to the user when the document is in view and ready to shoot.
