‘Last Night in Soho’ accused of plagiarizing ‘Scooby-Doo’ online

It hasn’t been too long since Last night in Soho released in October 2021 for some pretty good review. Even Stephen King himself horror movie recommendation for the fans because he thinks it’s very special. But what if the movie simply copied its story from a Scooby-Doo movie?

Here’s what one Reddit user claims happened, going as far as to say that Last night in Soho “Paragraph its whole story” from Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island was released twenty-three years earlier in 1998.

Warning: There are some spoilers for both movies ahead.

The user, who follows u/KLJones on Reddit, discussed some similarities of both films in his post to /r / Horror currently has over one thousand two hundred upvotes and over one hundred comments.

“You want to believe that the monsters are actually zombies in the same way that these faceless men haunting Eloise are the villains of the story. That is until it is revealed that these people are not trying to harm them but to warn them of who the real villains are.

In fact, they were the victims of the real killers, who unquestionably led them to a place to stay. Neither the zombies nor the faceless men try to approach them (Eloise and Scooby Gang) to kill them but to ask for help as they are stuck in life as a ghost until the villain killed them was found guilty. “

KLJones doesn’t stop there either, even going into more detail on how the stories of both films are uncanny.

“Even with the fact that these ghosts are not only victims but harm those who killed them, in Soho they sleep with someone who has no choice and in Scooby Doo they commit the crime of killing a group of people. settlers. who lived on the island 200 years before the movie, you want to understand that the twisted villains weren’t entirely wrong about their motives but as time went on they got lost in their misdeeds and it started It doesn’t make sense why they have done it.

It doesn’t even stop there because you also have the main characters in both movies, Eloise and Velma, someone’s suspect, the old man and the gardener from the mansion, but they are not only innocent but also policemen in both films. . ”

There are even more details about the similarities between Last night in Soho and Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island in the original post. What do you think of these similarities? Is it really on par with plagiarism as Reddit users complain? Turn off the sound in the comments.
