Designed as a pre-fall aka “sister-in-law” evolution, inspired by the phoenix flying concept, by Sally LaPointe Fall the collection enhanced her signature quality of luxury with warm, subdued tones, imbued with a vibrant palette.
“It fits the idea of a new skin and of empowerment,” LaPointe said during a preview of the collection. “This is about going to the desert and taking a trip.”
The collection features rich fabrications with colors influenced by roadside inn’s electric neon signs and desert skies (new marabou fur trim, chenille, leather layers marbles, acid-wash denim, vintage satins, heat-pressed rhinestone looks and more) and is designed to transform a chic day into a moody yet playful evening.
A look: Sleek, fashionably evocative with luxurious features that fully fulfill LaPointe’s ethos.
Quote notes: “The palette comes from desert skies and motels – almost luxurious but also a little sinister. I wanted it to be enhanced and a little more elegant, but with a naughty tone. “
Main parts: Acid-infused, marbled denim and leather suits (available in hot chocolate brown or vibrant pink); a choice of looks with striped, striking heat-pressed rhinestone (a new iteration of pre-fall ombré offerings); Separating monochrome satin suits and chic knitwear (with or without ostrich and marabou trim); two-tone, warp skirts and sets (a pink and red pleated tunic at the top goes well with flimsy floor-to-ceiling pants).
Carried away: Young and sophisticated at the same time, LaPointe’s fall collection continues to deliver bold and versatile fashions.
