Phil Rothfield has debunked what Souths star Cody Walker told Bulldogs counterpart Lachlan Lewis that made his all-time lackluster UFC shift to the opposite.
Lewis was punished for throwing Walker to the ground as the players walked off the field at halftime in the Rabbitohs’ 32-24 win in Round 18 following a back-and-forth talk.
The incident shocked commentators and most of the rugby league community as Andrew Voss described it as one of the craziest things he had ever seen on a rugby field.

Speaking on Fox League’s NRL 360, Rothfield revealed what Walker said to provoke a bizarre reaction that has been likened to a UFC wrestling move.
“I couldn’t believe it, I didn’t know if I should laugh, but I think it was pretty serious in the end,” Rothfield said.
“Apparently we had on the back page of The Daly Telegraph tomorrow that what Walker told him the most was to come back and play as a reserve, isn’t that that heavy?

“I would be happy if he was suspended for a few weeks.”
“For what?” asked Paul Kent.
“For being an absolute goose,” said Rothfield.
“You can’t solve blobs.”
