Kyle Rittenhouse has been given a huge ‘thank you’ gift for defending his gun rights

One of the country’s most outspoken Second Amendment voices called Kyle Rittenhouse a “warrior for gun owners” when giving him gifts.

Gun Owners of America tweeted the intention to donate Rittenhouse an AR-15 rifle in the aftermath of Rittenhouse’s acquittal Friday. Rittenhouse was on trial after killing two men and injuring a third during an August 2020 riot in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Rittenhouse has stated that he acted in self-defence.

“WARNING: GOA will award Kyle Rittenhouse an AR-15 for his actions to protect gun rights in the US,” GOA wrote in Friday’s Twitter post. “Join us in saying THANK YOU to Kyle Rittenhouse for being a fighter for gun owners and self-defense around the country!”

Rittenhouse featured prominently on the organization website.

In a commentary published by USA Today Friday and featured on the website, Erich Pratt, senior vice president of the group, spoke about bigger problem was woven into the fabric of the test. He noted that Rittenhouse acted in self-defense against three men who tried to injure him.

“All three would have been alive or unharmed today had they not attacked Rittenhouse,” he wrote.

Pratt said that the noise and anxiety about AR-15 is misplaced exaggeration.

The organization is among those that have supported Rittenhouse.

The National Fund for Gun Rights raised more than $50,000 for Rittenhouse last year to help pay his legal fees, according to Newsweek.

“When we saw video evidence of Kyle defending himself and others in Kenosha, WI, the NFGR made the decision to support him immediately and we are pleased to see that he is now a member of the family. liberals,” NFGR Executive Director Dudley Brown said in a statement.
