Kumail Nanjiani makes ‘Eternals’ Disney Plus release an ‘official’ holiday

January 12th is a big day for the fans Marvel Cinematic Universe. With the racing of the stage the eternal – has grossed nearly $400 million as of the time of this writing, per Box Office Mojo – coming to an end, the latest entry into the MCU will finally be streaming via Disney Plus.
For his part, actor/comedian Kumail Nanjiani, who plays Kingo Sunen in the film, was clearly hyped to see his first foray into superhero life reaching even more audiences. In fact, he decided that the eternal‘The Disney Plus launch should be recognized as a big holiday.
Nanjiani took to Twitter on Friday to make his decision.
“I officially declare January 12th as the first international holiday,” Nanjiani wrote while reassuring us all that he had complete “authority to do it.”
He added, “Watch #Eternals on @disneyplus from the comfort of your own home on January 12, the world’s first international holiday.”
even though the eternal‘Disney Plus launch wasn’t the most obvious choice for an “official” international break – May 2 (Iron Man’s US premiere) or February 9 (when it was announced). that Spider-Man has joined the MCU) are certainly strong choices – we won’t question Nanjiani’s authority on the matter.
