Earlier this week, Kosovo police clashed with ethnic Serbs throughout an anti-smuggling operation, and final month a problem over automobile license plates was resolved solely after mediation from the European Union and the US. The NATO-led Kosovo Drive, or KFOR, deployed troops to the border space, ending the spat.
