For family members of Wright and supporters, Potter’s actions have no reason. Courteney Ross, Floyd’s associate, taught Wright when he was a student at Edison High School in Minneapolis. During a press conference with the Wright family on Monday, Ross denied claims from Potter – “a senior officer training new cadets” – that she mistook her gun for a Taser.
