Kim Kardashian shared her gratitude to her friend Virgil Abloh “Tender, kind and calm”

Kim Kardashian wrote a moving tribute to her late friend, Virgil Abloh, one day after the fashion designer’s death after his secret battle with cancer.
In the Instagram post, the TV star reminisced about their friendship and time together, sending affection to his wife and two children. “God makes no mistakes. I know it but I still can’t help asking why,” she wrote in the caption. “Why Virgil?! Why is he so early? It’s simply hard to understand why. It is very difficult for me to understand why so many pure souls are taken away so soon.” Kim and Abloh have been friends for many years, first becoming close through her estranged husband, Kanye West, who appointed him the creative director of his creative agency, Donda.
The Skims founder continued, “Virgil- you were always so gentle, kind and calm. Somehow, you made time for everyone. We also often talk about your calm superpower. You always give so much of yourself to the world because you want it to be good. This is a difficult one to handle. I can’t even believe I’m writing this… We will miss you so much Virgil and love you so much. “Abloh is an extremely impactful number in fashion, designing both for his own label Off-White, as well as serving as art director for menswear Louis Vuitton.
Kim also offered condolences to the designer’s wife and two children, writing: “I want to send a lot of love to his wife. Shannon. Because you loved and supported Virgil the way you did, he was able to give so much to others. So thank you for actually sharing him with us the way you did. Virgil’s legacy will live on forever through Shannon, Lowe and Gray. ”
In his Instagram Story, Kim shared a handwritten note from Virgil that read: “Nothing is more precious than time.” She also posted an inspirational quote: “Appreciate your life, cherish your health, cherish your family, cherish your friends. Since these are the things that money can’t buy, they really define your wealth.” West also paid tribute to his late friend over the weekend, dedicating Sunday Service to his memory and wiping out his Instagram.
