Kiko Kostadinov Men’s Fall 2022 – WWD

Bulgarian designer Kiko Kostadinov based in London has designed another deeply personal collection this season.

Although the showcase was filmed at the Museo Anahuacalli in Mexico City with a local cast, the collection is based on gaming culture, especially in Korea. online game “Lineage II” and his fond memories of playing with virtual friends as a child. Gaming is his comfort zone.

“This theme has given me the opportunity to create more fantasy characters in the collection, but also something for the players like a hoodie with big pants. Say, I just show up in the morning to go have breakfast and then come back to play,” said the designer.

The gaming references in the design are subtle. There is some armor-like texture on the sewing pieces, but much of the look remains focused on Kostadinov’s distorted silhouette. This is shown well with his knitwear products, such as salmon-pink XXXL tank tops, light gray crochet coats, long-sleeve patterned shirts and shirts Oversized polo lashes knee length.

There are also some creatively designed jackets and pants. They’re made for the brave people who treat life like a game and don’t mind dressing up to go grocery shopping as if they were dandy in between fashion week shows.
