Kenny ‘Babyface’ Edmonds, wife Nicole ending marriage

Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds and spouse Nicole Patenburg are calling it quits on their seven-year marriage.

The pair look like splitting amicably, as they launched a joint assertion asserting their cut up.

“After a lot thought and with nice unhappiness, we’ve determined to finish our marriage. We proceed to care and have respect for each other and share everlasting love for our daughter and her well-being,” the couple told TMZ on Tuesday. 

“We ask for private privateness for ourselves and our daughter as we navigate these new steps as a household.”

It’s unclear if and once they’ll formally file divorce paperwork or papers to legally separate, the outlet reported.

The “Each Time I Shut My Eyes” crooner and the previous “Moesha” actress married in Might 2014 after seven years of courting. They’ve one daughter, 12-year-old Peyton Nicole.

The couple tied the knot in entrance of celeb company together with Oprah Winfrey and Carole B. Sager. 

This was the second marriage for the music celebrity. Edmonds, 62, was married to Tracey Edmonds from 1992 to 2005. When Tracey, now 54, filed for divorce with the Los Angeles County Superior Courtroom, she cited “irreconcilable variations” as the reason for the cut up.

They share two sons, Brandon and Dylan.

The “By no means Holding Secrets and techniques” singer then introduced his shock engagement to Patenburg, now 48, in 2014 throughout a BET interview with longtime pal and collaborator Toni Braxton.

“Would you ever think about getting married once more?” Braxton requested.

“I’ve already thought-about it,” he replied. “I’m engaged, so sure.”
