AURORA, Unwell. (CBS) — There’s a new chief operating the second-largest police division in Illinois.
Deputy Chief Keith Cross might be taking up because the police chief in Aurora as soon as the town council there approves his appointment.
Cross is an Aurora native, and has been with the Aurora Police Division for 27 years. As he prepares to take the helm, Cross mentioned neighborhood partnerships might be key to persevering with the downward pattern in crime charges in Aurora.
“You understand, the police can’t clear up crimes with out the assistance of the neighborhood, so I believe that’s the place bridging that hole with the neighborhood, and persevering with to construct belief, is barely going to assist us make the town safer,” Cross mentioned.
Ziman was a finalist last year to take over as Chicago Police superintendent. The job ended up going to Supt. David Brown.
