Kehlani shares why they removed breast implants: I let the world bully me into feeling like I needed this

Kehlani seems to be really embodying the ‘new year, new me’ mantra as we move into 2022!

Kehlani recently really lived in her truth. As previously reported, earlier this year, they confirmed the rumors surrounding their gender and are openly lesbian.

In a recent interview Kehlani, 26 years old, shared about their personal life and shared why after 4 years after surgery, they decided to have breast implant surgery. They said,

“I had breast implants about 4 years ago because I struggled with what beauty meant to me. I remember this video of me performing went viral. People were like ‘she’s horribly built.’ So I went for breast implants.”

Unfortunately, after the procedure, Kehlani deal with some complications and side effects like persistent fatigue, joint pain and new allergies. The ‘Can I’ singer was told by a doctor that they may be suffering from breast implant illness, which is an autoimmune condition that affects some people who have had silicone breast implants. They continued,

“I was upset about my breast implants because I was a tomboy. Like, how do I even put these in the costume? I really feel more beautiful than ever because I feel healthy. … I really don’t take my natural body for granted anymore. I worked it out because my body type wasn’t meant to change in the way that I thought I could.”

They added,

“I let the world bully me feel like I needed this. It’s been a journey to find out how I feel about how I look. ”

In the same interview, Kehlani remind people what their preferred pronoun is. They said,

“I don’t mind when people say ‘she’, but there’s something really affirmative when people say ‘they’. It feels like… you really see me. ”
