At first, he said no, saying he was excited to work with Lana Wachowski again. However, he added that there could be some anxiety if his talk with the creator didn’t go as well as it did.

In fact, the only thing that worries him is that he’s afraid the audience won’t like him. He said he doesn’t know how people are will react to Matrix Recovery. In particular, whether they want the latest installment.


Reeves added that he personally isn’t worried about it. He also said that when he read the script and watched how the drama unfolded, there were no doubts at all. He felt that everything related to the production process was special, so he was very involved.

The reaction of fans and critics to what may or may not be the beginning of a new one Matrix trilogy of works was actually quite mixed. Based on Metacritic, the film only reached 64 percent and received only a rating of 3.8 from the audience.
