Katie Ledecky dominates in first competitive swim since change of coaches

The bigger change for Ledecky in the pool was daily practice with a talented and deep men’s long distance team led by Bobby Finke, who matched Ledecky with the 800 and 1,500 golds in Tokyo. (Finke, 22, won the men’s 800 at Greensboro Wednesday night in a time of 7:54.07). On any given day of practice, Ledecky could line up in the lane next to Finke or Kieran Smith, a bronze medalist in Tokyo in the 400 freestyle, and try to fight the man for the lap.
