Kakao Game Delays ArcheAge Server Opening Until Tomorrow

blank

Looks like people who have been waiting to re-enter ArcheAge Below New Kakao Games server will have to wait just a little longer. The team announced today that there is an issue in the backend that they have not been able to resolve and have decided to delay the scheduled new server opening until tomorrow.

On a reassuring note, they emphasized that no data transfers were affected by this backend issue. So everyone’s saved data through November 18 will be available if they transferred their characters.

The issue seems to be known, as the delay notice indicates that they have been hesitant to announce the exact opening times in the hope of being able to fix the problem by December 2nd. However, Their team, along with the developers at XLGAMES, were unable to make it in time for today’s launch.

This delay keep track of announced changes about how the new starter servers will work and also their rollout time. The starter servers, as announced, have some restrictions and additional bonuses to help level any character to start over, so it generates community concern about the possibility of bots, mules and exploits. The new European Union boot server is scheduled to open tomorrow, and it looks like it’s still happening.

If they feel like they’re on track to open at some point tomorrow, that means they’re well on their way to fixing the problem. While it may seem like this has been a bit of a mess, today’s announcement to postpone rather than just continue is a good plan. There is no indication yet on when the servers will open, but there will be an announcement coming later today or early tomorrow.
