Kakao Delays ArcheAge Launch While It Fixes “Problems in Backend System”

Keep your horse, or other mount of your choice, on that land a little longer – the (re)launch of ArcheAge has been postponed. Originally scheduled for yesterday, December 1, the game will first launch under the umbrella of Kakao Games tomorrow, December 3, due to it taking over publishing from gamigo.
Kakao Games announced the news today in a letter stated The reason for the delay was “to ensure that ArcheAge’s launch and ongoing service goes as smoothly as possible.” That couldn’t be done yesterday due to unresolved “backend problems”.
Kakao reassured players that the problem did not stem from a data transfer issue and that the player’s game data was not affected.
Kakao announced that they will take over publishing duties for XLGames MMORPG from gamigo last month, and things that have proceed smoothly enough until this slight glitch. Without any more interruptions, both ArcheAge are free to play and Based on sub-ArcheAge: Unchained should go live at an unannounced time tomorrow, which is definitely the perfect time Kakao wants, because it won’t go backwards any other major MMORPG releases!
