“I have been very emotional the past few days. It’s hard going away,” the former Bachelorette, 36, said as she held back tears in her Instagram Story on Saturday, July 17. “I haven’t been back to Canada in two years. Today I did FaceTiming for my dad and I feel very lonely. And obviously, [my fiancé Jason Tartick] leaving, and he’s having family time, and I’m supposed to be there, and I can’t because of work. And I just miss them, and I miss the dogs, and I just have a little bit of time. “
After asking her followers to recommend a movie or show to “cheer on” [her] up,” the Canadian-born returned to her Story to talk about some of the messages she received.
“I mean, I shouldn’t even be asking for movie recommendations because then that forces me to go into my DM, and then I see things like people saying ‘have some dignity,’ let’s go pulled it together, ” stop crying,” ‘privilege issues lol,’ she said. “I was like, ‘Oh, that’s right, I forgot. That’s what I get in the DMs.’ mine. ‘”
In her previous post, Bristowe shared that it is difficult for her to open up about her problems because fans come to her for anything.

Last week, Tartick, 32, stood up for his fiancée during an appearance on the “Click Bait With Bachelor Nation” podcast. In the show, the former investment banker discussed how much backlash Bristowe received from online trolls – especially about her looks.
“I don’t know why people think it’s completely normal to say what they do on Twitter,” he said. “There are many things in this world we can control, and there are many things we cannot control. Our looks and the like are mostly things we can’t control. And the way people make comments, nasty comments about people’s looks – and obviously, I’m referring to Kaitlyn in particular – is ridiculous. It was a joke.”
Before Bachelorette The contestant also talked about his partner the hobby of clapping in response to malicious commenters.
“Kaitlyn would make people explode, that’s what I always say, ‘I don’t know why you did that,’ but then the more I see her doing it… you’re like, ‘St. , maybe you should put people in the blast,” he said.
