Jussie Smollett Found guilty of staging 2019 Hate Crime Attack & Lying to Police
A final judgment has been made in Jussie Smollett’s notorious case for allegedly orchestrating an anti-gay and racist attack on himself.

The 39-year-old actor was sentenced today (December 9) to 5 counts (out of 6) of disorderly conduct for allegedly hoaxing for his hate crimes. This charge is a 4th degree felony with a prison sentence of up to 3 years.
However, experts have previously expressed that Jussie Smollett will likely not serve any time behind bars and will instead potentially be placed on probation and ordered to perform community service. Additionally, there’s a lot of speculation that he will also have to pay Chicago restitution in the amount of $130k, which is the amount the city reportedly spent investigating the alleged assault.
According to the report, Jussie Smollett pleaded guilty to 1 count each separately he was charged with lying to Chicago police in the days following the alleged assault. This includes January 29, 2019, which is the first night Smollett report that the incident happened. The former ‘Empire’ star got a small win in his trial and was acquitted at the 6th count, for allegedly lying to a detective weeks after he claimed he was assaulted. labour. Reports confirm that Smollett, who has maintained his innocence the whole time, had no apparent reaction when the jury delivered their verdict.
During the closing arguments that took place yesterday (December 8), special counsel Dan Webb spoke out against Smollett’s act and tell the jury,

Smollett and his team has yet to speak out about his beliefs.
As previously reported, back in January 2019, Smollett testified that while riding the Chicago subway at 2 a.m., he was attacked by two white men who called him racist and homophobic. According to the actor, the attackers put a rope around his neck, poured an “unknown substance” over him and shouted “This is the country of MAGA” before they fled the scene.
However, after an investigation took place, several vulnerabilities were found in Smollett’s story and law enforcement charged him with responsibility for the attack.
