In a recent conversation with Entertainment Weekly, actor Jonathon Groff, known for his role as King George in the critically acclaimed film Hamilton musical, which talks about one of his action scenes in the movie when he fights Neo, highlighting the “love” and “respect” that make up these scenes, especially when it involves banging Keanu Reeves’ face against a wall.
“Lana was like, ‘If you could open your palm and put your finger just below Keanu’s eyeball and then bang his face against the wall, that would be great for [the] Camera.’ I looked at Keanu and he just nodded at me, like, ‘Do it.’ And trust! Groff further explains that doing such intimate scenes of a more violent nature makes you feel “deeply connected” to your co-star, saying:
He taught me a lot about the deal between two people fighting but not hurting each other. It’s like making love to someone. When our fight ended, I felt a deep connection to him physically.
