Few Hollywood directors are truly attached to the video game industry as an art form, or even just as an economic powerhouse. Legendary horror filmmaker John Carpenter is an exception to this and has always been a huge fan of the medium.

It was Carpenter’s son who really introduced him to the interactive world of video games in the 90s. “My son will play when he grows up and introduce me to many different games and I went through this game,” he told the media in 2017.
