John Carpenter praises Halo Infinite on social media
The acclaimed horror director hailed the latest release in Xbox’s flagship series, Halo Infinite, calling it the best installment in the series.
343 Industry’ Halo Infinite has spent the past few weeks garnering critical acclaim for its campaign story, which makes the Xbox franchise feel fresh. The game’s open-world structure and multiplayer mode also received rave reviews. Although the game has its fair share of critics, especially for Halo Infinitein-game shop, there are some who think it deserves this praise, including the acclaimed horror director John Carpenter.
The carpenter is best known for his work on Halloween movie series, or perhaps 1982’s Classic Thing, with many of them considered among the best of the horror genre. What some fans may not know about the excellent writer and director is that Carpenter is an avid video game fan, keep a close eye on the game industry. He’s even raved about modern releases, with his latest being Halo Infinite.
Recently, Carpenter took to Twitter to praise the latest entry in Halo Franchising. Not only did he say that he had a lot of fun with Halo Infinite, but he also goes on to say that it’s the best game in the series, which is a bold statement. The main reason he believes it to be is because of the game’s production design.
Many of these responses to Carpeneter were enthusiastic, with the official Halo The account responded to the tweet, thanking him for his compliment and dropping by to play the game. Other responses included Xbox marketing boss Aaron Greenberg thanking him for the compliment, even calling Carpenter a creation legend. Also Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted “good campaign” in response to Carpenter’s statement.
Carpenter’s gaming has become familiar to many who have followed him on Twitter, where his interests stem from playing classic games like Sonic the Hedgehog, and his skills have improved since then. Some of his favorite games include border zone 2, Bioshock, and even last year Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, which he considers one of the best games of 2021.
With Carpenter’s endorsement of Halo Infinite, the developers can be proud that it has received the praise of one of the most iconic horror directors in the industry.
