First Lady Jill Biden tested positive for COVID-19 and had “mild symptoms,” the White House said on Tuesday.

She was vacationing in South Carolina with President Joe Biden when she developed symptoms on Monday.

She has been prescribed the antiviral drug Paxlovid and will be isolating at the cottage for at least five days.

Joe Biden tested negative for the virus Tuesday morning, the White House said, but would wear a mask indoors for 10 days, according to guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

He recovered from a rebound case of the virus on August 7.
